In front of a crowd announced at 34,136 on Saturday’s Marvel Super Hero Day, the Baltimore Orioles beat the Kansas City Royals 6-1. With Captain America and the Black Panther in the house, the Orioles showed they had heroes of equal, if not more, power. The Bird even donned an orange cape to put his super hero powers on display.

Adley Rutschman went 0 for 4 with a run scored and a walk on his Captain America Bobblehead Day. Rutschman blasted Bobby Witt on an attempted steal in the sixth inning to show off his powers.

Anthony Santander (3 for 4 with 2 doubles, 2 runs, 1 RBI) made a superhero catch on a Maikel Garcia fly ball in the first that saw him turn and crash into the grounds crew pen and left him clutching the fencing. He also did a push-up later in the game after hitting the dirt on an inside pitch.

Aaron Hicks (0 for 3, 1 BB) thwarted Freddy Fermin with a diving, inning ending catch in the second inning.

Gunnar Henderson went 2 for 5 with a homerun, 1 run scored and 1 RBI.

Adam Frazier went 1 for 3 with a homerun, 1 run scored, 2 RBI and a walk.

Ryan O’Hearn went 2 for 2 with a double and 1 RBI.
