The Baltimore Orioles flight to Chicago certainly was a happy one following Thursday afternoon’s 4-2 win over the Toronto Blue Jays. The Orioles are now 5-1 versus Toronto this season.

The “Rock” and the “Mountain” combined to close out the game with Yennier Cano allowing 3 hits, walking 1 and striking out 1 in 1.0 inning and Felix Bautista (1.1 IP, 2 K) earning his 18th save.
Adley Rutschman paced the Baltimore offense with a 3 for 5, 1 homerun, 1 run scored, 1 RBI day.

Jorge Mateo went 2 for 4 with 2 stolen bases.
The eventual winning run was knocked in by Anthony Santander (2 for 3, 1 Run, 1 RBI, 1 BB) in the sixth inning. Austin Hays, the runner who scored on Santander’s hit, put the exclamation point on the game with his eighth inning homerun into the Toronto bullpen. Hays went 2 for 5 with the homerun, 2 runs scored and 1 RBI.
