Monday night’s game in Anaheim saw the Baltimore Orioles come away with a 6-3 win over the LA Angels. Youth was front and center in the win.
Grayson Rodriguez (5-3) earned the win in his 19th start of 2023. The 2018 1st round draft pick allowed 2 runs on 7 hits (1 HR), walked 2 and struck out 7 over 6.0 innings, throwing 90 pitches (61 strikes) in the process. It was the right-handers 6th quality start in 9 games since being recalled from Norfolk on July 17th.
Gunnar Henderson hit his 23rd homerun of the season, a three-run shot to right field, in the 7th inning. That homerun proved to be the difference in the contest. Henderson went 2 for 5 with a double, a homerun, 1 run scored and 3 RBI in the game.

Jordan Westburg (2 for 4, 1 2B) made an amazing over-the-shoulder catch on a ball that looked destined to drop into short center in the 9th, a catch that may have prevented an Angels comeback.
