NORFOLK TIDES (0-1) LOST 10-5 TO DURHAM BULLS (1-0) – AAA

Game 1:

Durham jumped out to a 2-0 lead after two and a half innings on solo homeruns by Tristan Gray and Ruben Cardenas in the second and third innings, respectively.  Norfolk tied the game in the third inning on a Coby Mayo two-RBI double and then took the lead by one an inning later.  Durham blew the game open with a five run eighth inning; Norfolk issued five walks in the inning which led to three runs alone.  The Tides did come back to score two meaningless runs in their half of the ninth.

  • Coby Mayo went 1 for 4 with a double and 2 RBI.
