Orioles Salvage Series With 8-3 Win

Seth Smith reached base all five times tonight, setting the table for the rest of the lineup all night. He finished 4-for-4 with a walk, a double, 2 RBI, and two runs. He’s the Hangout Player of the Game.

Starting Pitching

  • The Orioles needed Tyler Wilson to step up on short notice and he delivered. Control was key for Wilson as he did not help the Red Sox out by issuing any free passed. They were able to get three runs against him by Wilson navigated his way through six innings to deliver a quality start and earn the win. Final Line: 6 IP, 6 H, 3 ER, 0 BB, K, Win.

Hitting

  • That’s three home runs in one series now for Manny Machado, who bashed his 7th of the year in the 4th. That drove in three runs and Machado finished 2-for-5.
  • Adam Jones went 2-for-5 with an RBI.
  • Mark Trumbo went 2-for-4 and drew a walk.
