After taking two of three from the Yankees, the Orioles welcome another division foe, the Boston Red Sox, to Camden Yards for a four game set.
Here’s the latest Oriole news this morning:
- Roch Kubatko has updates on injuries, suspensions, opt-outs and tonight’s game.
- Stan The Fan wonders if Chris Tillman is pushing too hard for an extension.
- The Oriole bats woke up last night. Let’s hope that foreshadows what’s to come in June.
- Manny Machado somehow leads all-star 3B voting, albeit narrowly, despite entering June with a .205 batting average.
- Speaking of Machado, Camden Depot breaks down his current slump and contact issues that obviously we hope to see reverse soon.
- Welington Castillo is back on the DL due a groin injury that just so happened to occur on the one-year anniversary of a similar injury to Caleb Joseph.
- The Red Sox and Orioles would be wise to play nice this weekend, opines the Boston Herald. We shall see about that.
