Kevin Gausman was outstanding tonight. His lone blemish came in the 2nd when he served up a solo home run to Jim Aducci. He cruised after that with 7 quality innings of work. Unfortunately, the bullpen let him down. Final Line: 7 IP, 3 H, ER, BB, 8 K, No Decision. He’s the Hangout Player of the Game.

Relief

  • The Orioles had a 2-1 lead most of the night but the Tigers stole the game from them in the 8th. Against Mychal Givens, the Tigers loaded the bases and then Justin Upton proceeded to crush a first pitch hanging slider into the left field seats for a game deciding grand slam.

Hitting

  • Tim Beckham continues to smoke the ball in his first week as an Oriole. He finished 4-for-4 tonight and hit his 14th home run of the season.
  • Manny Machado went 2-for-4 with a home run, his 19th of the season.
