Orioles Fall 6-1 In Houston

The offense once again could not get much going against the opposing starter. Charlie Morton stymied the Oriole bats over six shutout innings of work with six strikeouts. The Astros gave their starter plenty of run support and cruised to a 6-1 victory.

Player of Game:
– Trey Mancini
bailed out the offense from facing another shutout with a solo home run in the 9th, his first of the season.

Starting Pitching:

Chris Tillman allowed a run in the first but appeared to have settled in after that with scoreless innings in the second and third innings. Things derailed in the fourth when the Astros put a three-spot on the board. That would be Tillman’s final inning of the night as he took the loss. Final Line: 4 IP, 7 H, 4 ER, 4 BB, 0 K, Loss

Highlighted hitting moments:
Adam Jones went 2-for-4 and accounted for 1/3 of the total hits from the Oriole lineup tonight.
