The Bull Hammers Two Home Runs In 5-3 Win

The Orioles jumped out to an early 3-0 lead against Daniel Norris. Starter Kevin Gausman delivered a solid outing from there. The bullpen threatened to relinquish the lead but was able to hold on for a 5-3 win. That’s a series win, folks!

Player of the Game

El Toro continues to play like a man who does not want to put on a Norfolk uniform again after spending most of 2017 there. Pedro Alvarez crushed not one but two home runs today. He now has six on the season and is 2nd on the team with his .933 OPS.

Starting Pitching

  • Kevin Gausman took advantage of the early lead the offense spotted him. He looked strong through the first four, not allowing a run to pass. He ran into a little trouble in the 5th in and 6th. John Hicks homered off Gausman in the 5th to give the Tigers their first run. The Tigers later loaded the bases with two outs in the 6th, at which point Gausman exited the game. He would pick up the win. Final Line: 5.2 IP, 5 H, ER, 3 BB, 4 K, Win.
