In the resumption of a game that arguably should have been considered completed on Sunday, the Orioles beat the Nationals 6-2.

Tanner Scott showed what has been expected of him; 1.1 IP in relief with just 1 walk and 2 strikeouts. Travis Lakins, Sr earned the win for his 0.1 IP on Sunday.

For the record, Hanser Alberto was 2 for 5 with 1 double, 1 run scored and 2 RBI. Bryan Holaday was 2 for 4 with 1 run scored and 2 RBI.

In an ironic twist, the Orioles’ grounds crew showed the Nationals’ grounds crew how to roll a tarp out when the rain came between games.

The Orioles last the regularly scheduled game 15-3. The highlight was Keegan Akin‘s MLB debut. Akin pitched the 5th, 6th and 7th innings, allowing 3 runs on 2 hits. He walked one, struck out one and hit one batter. The two hits he allowed were a double to Yan Gomes and a homerun to Asdrubal Cabrera. Post-game, he was sent back to the team’s alternate site.

Anthony Santander homered and also misplayed a ball in the outfield, allowing a Gomes triple. Jose Iglesias also had a rough time with two plays in the field.
