Just one game, that’s all the Orioles road “winning” streak lasted as the Birds fell to the Blue Jays 12-4 on Saturday. The number four played a major part in the game as both teams scored 4 runs in an inning; Toronto jsut did it two more times than the Orioles did.

Keegan Akin is now 0-4 on the season following the loss. The southpaw started and tossed 4.1 innings, allowing 6 runs on 7 hits with 1 walk and 3 strikeouts. He also surrendered third inning homeruns to both Vladimir Guerrero, Jr and Teoscar Hernandez.

Konner Wade and Alex Wells made their MLB debuts in relief of Akin and Wells (2.0 IP, 1 H, 2 BB) fared better than Wade (1.2 IP, 6 R, 7 H, 1 BB, 1 K, 1 HR allowed).

Baltimore’s bat produced just 2 extra-base hits among their 7 total hits with Cedric Mullins going 1 for 4 with a double and 2 RBI and Anthony Santander going 1 for 4 with a double.

Pedro Severino contributed a 1 for 4, 1 run scored, 2 RBI effort and Austin Hays added a 2 for 4, 1 run scored effort of his own.

The loss was the insult added to injury; Freddy Galvis (1 for 1) left the game with a right quad injury in the second inning after legging out a bunt single.
