Friday’s game against the Detroit Tigers saw another starting pitcher go deep into the game, giving the Baltimore bullpen another break. Tyler Wells led the Orioles to a 2-1 win over the Tigers, the fourth consecutive for the team.

Wells, selected in the 2020 Rule 5 Draft, pitched 7.0 scoreless innings, scattering 3 hits, walking 1 and striking out 5; he deserved more than a no-decision.

Felix Bautista (2-1) followed Bryan Baker (1.0 IP, 2 K) and allowed 1 run on 2 hits with a strikeout. Bautista was credited with the win after Adam Frazier (0 for 4, 1 RBI) walked it off in the ninth.

Frazier’s fielder’s choice allowed Ryan Mountcastle (1 for 4, 1 Run) to slide across the plate with the winning run.

Austin Hays (1 for 3, 1 Run, 1 RBI) put the Orioles on the scoreboard with his seventh inning homerun.

Cedric Mullins went 2 for 3 with a double and 1 walk.

Gunnar Henderson went 1 for 3 with a double.
