The Baltimore Orioles defeated the Tampa Bay Rays 2-1 Wednesday evening. With the win, the O’s took the series from the Rays and handed them back to back losses for just the third time in 2023.

The win started with quality on the mound. Starter Dean Kremer (4-1) hurled 6.0 scoreless innings, retiring the side in three of them. The defense helped him escape trouble in the fourth by turning a double play with runners at first and second to end the frame. Kremer allowed 4 hits, walked 2 and struck out 4, throwing 95 pitches (60 strikes) and earning the win.

Austin Hays went 2 for 4 with 1 RBI.

Adam Frazier went 1 for 4 with a double and 1 RBI.

Anthony Santander went 1 for 4 with a double and a run scored.

Adley Rutschman went 1-3 with a run scored and a walk.

Yennier Cano (1.0 IP, 1 K) earned his third save.

For those keeping score the Orioles went 3-3 against the Braves and the Rays collectively.
