It stands to reason that not every outing will go well. That was certainly the case Tuesday with an ugly 10-3 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers. Baltimore Orioles starter Tyler Wells (7-5) just didn’t seem to have it, allowing 5 runs on 6 hits, walked 2, struck out 2, coughed up a 3-run homerun to LA’s Jason Heyward and threw a wild pitch, all in 2.0 innings. The loss was hung on Wells. Esoteric observation: Hayward was featured on MASN’s “Who’s hot, who’s not” pregame segment (media jinx).

Cole Irvin (4.0 IP, 2 R, 4 H, 3 BB, 4 K, 1 HBP) gave the Orioles length out of the bullpen and Mike Baumann (2.0 IP, 1 UER, 2 H, 4 K) once again had a nice appearance.

Aaron Hicks went 2 for 4 with a double and 2 RBI.

Ryan O’Hearn (1 for 3, 1 R, 1 RBI, 1 BB) continues to make his case for being in the lineup, sporting an .865 OPS.

Adley Rutschman went 1 for 5 with a double.

Anthony Santander went 1 for 3 with a double, 1 run scored and a walk.

Gunnar Henderson went 1 for 4 with 1 run scored and a walk.
