The Baltimore Orioles bounced back from back to back losses in San Diego with a 9-4 defeat of the Oakland A’s Friday night. The Orioles torched Oakland pitching for 16 hits, 7 of which went for extra bases; every batter in the lineup recorded a hit. Only 8,942 fans were in attendance at the Coliseum as witnesses.

Gunnar Henderson had a night, going 3 for 5 with a homerun, 2 runs scored and 3 RBI.

Ryan O’Hearn went 2 for 5 with a triple, 1 run scored and a stolen base.

Austin Hays went 2 for 5 with 2 doubles and a run scored.

Adley Rutschman went 3 for 4 with a double and 1 run scored.

Cedric Mullins went 1 for 5 with a double and 2 RBI.

Jordan Westburg went 1 for 3 with 2 RBI.

Kyle Gibson (12-7) started and earned the win with a 4 run, 9 hit, 6 strikeout performance.

Of the four relievers Manager Brandon Hyde used, Cionel Perez (1.0 IP, 2 K) and Jacob Webb (1.0 IP, 1 K) both kept the A’s hitless.
