Game 2:

Norfolk jumped out to a 2-0 on back-to-back homeruns by Coby Mayo and Kyle Stowers in the second inning. Joey Ortiz (2 for 3, 1 2B, 3 RBI, 1 BB) extended the lead to 4-0 with a two-RBI single in the fourth and he doubled in the seventh Norfolk run in the seventh inning. Bryan Baker (1.0 IP, 2 R, 1 UER, 1 H. 1 HR, 1 HBP) and Joey Krehbiel (1.0 IP, 2 BB, 2 K) made the lead stick to force a winner-take-all game on Thursday. Durham’s Logan Driscoll did manage to hit a homerun off of Baker, but it wasn’t enough.
