Saturday’s game between the Baltimore Orioles and the Atlanta Braves at CoolToday Park resulted in a 10-3 Baltimore win and a 13-2 record.

Today’s starters were the pitchers of record with Baltimore’s Dean Kremer(2-1) getting the best of Atlanta’s Chris Sale. Kremer retired the first seven batters he faced before giving up a double to Eli White and earned the win with a line of 4.0 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 3 K. The sun played a role in Atlanta’s first run as Ryan McKenna (0 for 3) lost Ozzie Albies‘ hit in the sun, allowing White to score. Sale looked like his Boston self, letting a pitch timer violation against him and a balk fluster him in the Orioles three-run third inning.

Keegan Akin (1.0 IP, 1 H, 1 K) continued his scoreless Spring and Cade Povich (3.0 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 1 BB, 4 K) was solid. Wandisson Charles walked one and struck out one pitching the ninth inning.

Coby Mayo was the offensive standout, going 2 for 4 with a double, a homerun and 4 RBI.

The bottom four spots in the lineup did the most damage with Colton Cowser going 2 for 3 with 1 run scored, John Rhodes, who replaced Cowser in the lineup, going 1 for 2 with a double, 1 run scored and 2 RBI and Kyle Stowers going 2 for 3 with 1 run scored and 1 RBI.

Shayne Fontana went 1 for 1 with a walk.

Tyler Nevin went 1 for 3.

In total, the bottom four spots of the lineup accounted for 5 runs on 9 hits and 8 RBI.
