The Orioles committed two errors that allowed six runs to score in the 7th inning as the Royals beat up the Orioles 11-1 on Friday night.

The Royals got to Tommy Milone in the 1st with a double, wildpitch, and RBI single to make it 1-0.
In the top of the 4th, the Orioles finally got to Royals starter Mike Montgomery when Renato Nunez beat out a dribbler to third base for an infield single before scoring on a right center double by Pedro Severino to make it 1-1.
In the bottom of the 5th, 1B Ryan McBoom smacked an RBI double to give the Royals the lead 2-1.
In the 6th, the Royals started off with a double and an RBI single to extend the lead to 3-1 and end the night of Milone. Brandon Hyde brought in Tanner Scott to face the three lefties at the bottom of the lineup. A stolen base and a clean single by Alex Gordon made it 4-1. Scott would give up another run after walking a batter and allowing a two-out double to make it 5-1. Scott’s major league struggles continue.
The wheels completely fell off the cart for Scott and the Orioles in the bottom of the 7th after a two-out error by catcher Pedro Severino. Scott then started giving up hits and walks like grandmom hands out cookies, eventually needing to be replaced by Wilmer Font who also knocked around for a couple of hits before mercifully getting the 3rd out. The Royals ended up scoring six times to make it 11-1.

Norfolk lost 1-5 (5-4)
SP Keegan Akin (3.60) allowed four runs on nine hits over six innings of work to take the loss. SS Richie Martin (.345) went 2-for-5.
Bowie lost 8-9 (12 innings) (4-4)
Kyle Bradish (9.72) allowed seven runs in just 3.1 IP to put the Baysox in a hole. Mason McCoy went 2-for-5 with a walk and four runs batted in and C Brett Cumberland went 1-for-3 with a home runs and three walks to lead the offense.
Keys won 10-7 (3-6)
1B Toby Welk (.250) went 2-for-4 with a BB and two home runs (including a grand slam in the 8th), driving in six to lead the Keys offense. Gray Fenter (11.74) struggled in his start allowing six runs in just 2.2 innings of work. Nick Vespi struck out four in 2.1 scoreless innings of relief.
Delmarva lost 5-11 (4-5)
C Maverick Handley went 1-for-2 with two walks and a home run to lead the offense. Kevin McGee allowed five runs, but only two earned in two innings of work.
