The New York Yankees completed a four-game sweep of the Baltimore Orioles with a 3-1 victory.
The Orioles, losers of 5 straight games, could only score 3 runs over the four games in Yankee Stadium.
Renato Nunez accounted for the lone run with his second inning homer. He finished the game 2 for 4 with 1 run scored and 1 RBI.
Another quality start from John Means was wasted. Means allowed 1 run (Tyler Wade HR) on 5 hits wit 1 walk and 4 strikeouts.
Dillon Tate took the loss and his inability to get his right foot down on first base on Clint Frazier‘s roundball to Nunez allowed the eighth inning to extend. The Yankees went on to score two runs with two outs in the inning.
Tate gave up 2 runs on 2 hits over 1.2 innings pitched.
The Orioles are now 5.5 games behind in the race for the final Wild Card spot.
