The Baltimore Orioles dropped Saturday evening’s game with the New York Yankees. The team from the Bronx won the game 4-1 and in doing so limited the O’s to 4 hits, all singles. New York pitching also recorded eight strikeouts.

Starter Cole Irvin (0-2) never really got going. The lefty took the loss by allowing 3 runs on 4 hits, walking 4, striking out 5 and throwing a wild pitch over 4.2 innings of work.
Austin Voth (2.0 IP, 1 R, 2 H, 1 K) surrendered a 116 mph, 436 foot homerun over the left-field wall to Giancarlo Stanton.
