Toronto Scored The Win Late

Limited to two hits through six innings, the Toronto Blue Jays (29-29) scored six runs combined duting the seventh and eighth innings on the wat to a 5-5 win over the Baltimore Orioles Friday night.

Solo homeruns by Jackson Holliday (2 for 4), Pete Alonso (1 for 4) and Samuel Basallo (2 for 3) were not enough to fround the Blue Jays.

The Orioles jumped out to a 5-0 lead and then saw Toronto score 4 runs in the seventh inning and a pair of runs in the eighth. Kazuma Okamoto and Charles McAdoo homered in the seventh while the Blue Jays hit a pair of singles and a 2- RBI double by Vladimir Guerrero Jr. to take the lead and ultimately notch the win.

Trevor Rogers made the start for the Orioles and allowed 4 runs on 6 hits, including the 2 Toronto homeruns, while walking 1 and striking out 3 across 6.0 innings. He left the game after facing four batters in the sixth. Tyler Wells struck out one in the seventh but Yennier Cano (1-2) was tagged with the loss for allowing 2 runs on 3 hits in one-third of an inning.

Keegan Akin (0.2 IP) and Rico Garcia (1.0 IP) finished out the game for Baltimore.

Taylor Ward went 1 for 4 with a walk from the leadoff spot while Leody Taveras went 1 for 3 with a walk. Colton Cowser added a 1 for 3 effort with a walk as well.

The Orioles went three up and three down in the eighth and left Gunnar Henderson (0 for 4, BB) stranded on base in the ninth.
