Orioles Lose 5-1 To Indians

Mancini with a nice night was about all that you can say was good last night.

Trey Mancini went 3-for-4 tonight and scored a run. He’s now batting .422 over his last 12 games and is the Hangout Player of the Game.

Starting Pitching

  • Kevin Gausman went toe to toe with Carlos Carrasco through the first four innings. The Indians would get to him in the 5th though when they put up three runs, two of which came home on a two-run homer to Francisco Lindor. Gausman took the loss with the lack of the run support tonight. Final Line: 5.2 IP, 6 H, 3 ER, 2 BB, 2 K, Loss.

Relief Pitching

  • Donnie Hart worked 2.1 scoreless innings.
  • Miguel Castro allowed two runs in the 9th.
  • Alec Asher picked up the final two outs of the game.

Hitting

  • Carlos Carrasco shut the bats down through the first six innings with 10 strikeouts. The Orioles had a golden opportunity in the 7th when they loaded the bases with no outs against Carrasco. Terry Francona wisely called for Andrew Miller and naturally he worked out of the that jam without a run scoring.
  • Mark Trumbo went 2-for-4.
  • Jonathan Schoop went 2-for-4 with an RBI double.
