Mark Trumbo accounted for two of the three Oriole runs tonight. He finished 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles and 2 RBI and is the Orioles Hangout Player of the Game!

Starting Pitching

  • Kevin Gausman entered the game tonight with a disastrous 9.00 ERA in his road starts this season. He turned that around in a big way tonight with a scoreless outing. He fell two outs shy of a quality start but picked up the win, which must be a big confidence booster for the struggling right-hander. Final Line: 5.1 IP, 4 H, 0 ER, 2 BB, 4 K, Win.

Relief Pitching

  • Mychal Givens worked 1.2 scoreless innings, picking up a key strikeout with the bases loaded to end the 6th.
  • Darren O’Day pitched a scoreless 8th with a strikeout.
  • Brad Brach allowed a two-out homer but finished off the game for his 14th save of the season.

Hitting

  • Jonathan Schoop went 2-for-4 with a double and scored a run. He’s now batting .298 overall.
  • Adam Jones went 1-for-3 with a walk and an RBI single.
