The Orioles played the Yankees hard again. Alex Cobb did his best. Jonathan Villar was offensive and defensive. Makeshift bullpen was intimidated.
Alex Cobb pitched six full innings, struck out six, walked three, gave up only three hits, but one was a homerun. He departed having allowed two runs.
Jonathan Villar was a gem in the field making an imposible play to help keep things even early. He went 3-for-5 with a homer run and drove in two. Chris Davis committed lefty on lefty crime, homering off his old pal Zach Britton. He also went 3-for-5 and drove in three runs. Adam Jones went two for three, raising his batting average to .283.

Tim Beckman and Cedric Mullins both erred.
Cody Carroll, formerly a Yankee, took the loss in the tenth inning allowing three runs. Luke Voit took him deep.
