Sunday’s 9-5 loss to the Red Sox gave the Baltimore Orioles their first lost series of the season. Boston raced out to a three-run lead. The Orioles tied the game in the 5th inning only to see Boston match those runs with three of their own in the bottom half of the inning. The 7th inning was the same story, Baltimore scores two and Boston answered with two of their own. Boston’s run in the 8th produced the final score as the Orioles wasted a runner in scoring position in the 9th.

Adam Frazier went 3 for 4 with a double, a homerun, 2 runs scored and 2 RBI.

Cedric Mullins went 2 for 5 with a homerun, 1 run scored and 3 RBI.

Ramon Urias went 1 for 3 with a double and 1 run scored.

Starter Cole Irvin (0-1) did not have a Baltimore debut to remember. The southpaw allowed 6 runs on 8 hits (1 HR), walked 2 and struckout 4 in 4.0 innings of work and was tagged with the loss.

Bryan Baker (2.0 IP, 1 H, 2 K) was decent coming out of the bullpen, Keegan Akin (0.1 IP, 2 R, 2 H) not so much.
