Monday’s win in Texas could possibly be a loss for the Baltimore Orioles as well. Starter Kyle Bradish (1.2 IP, 1 H, 1 BB, 2 K) left the game in the second inning after taking a 104 mph line drive off his right foot. Described as a contusion, Bradish’s injury will be further evaluated today.

For the already taxed Baltimore bullpen, this was not an ideal situation. LHP Danny Coulombe (1-0) (1.1 IP, 1 K, 1 hit batter) started the relief effort and was rewarded with the win. The win would not have been possible without the performance of Tyler Wells. The right-hander, who was slated to start tonight, stepped up and pitched 5.0 no-hit innings, striking out 2.

The Orioles offense was limited to 4 hits; 2 of which were all that was needed. Homeruns by Gunnar Henderson (2 for 4, 1 R, 1 RBI) and Jorge Mateo (1 for 3, 1 R, 1 RBI) accounted for Baltimore’s runs.

Adley Rutschman went 1 for 4.

Felix Bautista (1.0 IP, 2 K) earned his second save of the season.
