The Baltimore Orioles offense did all the work on Labor Day, pummeling the Chicago White Sox 13-3 in front of 35,906 fans at Camden Yards. After spotting the Pale Hose two runs in the first inning, the Orioles responded by scoring eleven unanswered runs. It all started with a Gunnar Henderson (1 for 4, HR, R, 3 RBI, BB) lead-off homerun. The homerun, his 34th of the season, traveled 397 ft. to centerfield and tied him with Miguel Tejada and Cal Ripken Jr. for the most single season homeruns by an Oriole shortstop.

The Baltimore offense was so dominant that every starter had at least one hit and scored at least one run. Multiple players had a big day at the plate.

Cedric Mullins went 3 for 6 with a double, a homerun, 3 runs scored and 3 RBI.

Austin Slater went 3 for 4 with a double, 2 runs scored, 3 RBI, a walk and was hit by a pitch.

Emmanuel Rivera went 2 for 5 with a triple, 1 run scored and 2 RBI.

Ryan O’Hearn went 2 for 5 with a double and 1 run scored.

Jackson Holliday went 2 for 6 with a double and 1 run scored.

Adley Rutschman (2 for 5, R, RBI, BB) and Colton Cowser (2 for 5, 2 R) each had a multi-hit game while Anthony Santander (1 for 3, R, RBI, 3 BB) reached base four times.

Starter Corbin Burnes (13-7) struggled with traffic on the bases in the first three innings but settled down and retired the White Sox three-up and three-down in the fourth and fifth innings. Burnes finished with a line of 5.0 IP, 2 R, 1 ER, 6 H, BB, 4 K, 89 pitches (53 K) and earned the win, his 13th of the season.

Keegan Akin tossed a clean 6th inning.

Cole Irvin was credited with a save, his first, for pitching 3.0 innings and allowing 1 run on 2 hits and striking out 2.
