The Baltimore Orioles, with the help of the longball, defeated the Toronto Blue Jays 7-4 Monday night. Baltimore bats helped four baseballs leave the yard. Those four homeruns accounted for six of the Orioles 7 runs.

Ramon Urias (1 for 4, 1 Run Scored, 3 RBI) started the homerun party with his 3-run homer in the first inning. Anthony Santander (2 for 3, 1 Run Scored, 1 RBI, 1 BB) and Ryan Mountcastle (2 for 3, 2 Runs Scored, 2 RBI, 1 BB) went back to back with solo homers in the third inning, then Austin Hays (2 for 4, 1 Run Scored, 1 RBI) capped off the homerun party with his solo shot in the sixth.

Adley Rutschman went 0 for 2 with 2 Runs Scored and 2 walks.

Starter Jordan Lyles (9-8) made the most of the offense’s largess. He allowed 2 runs on 8 hits, both runs the result of solo homeruns, walked 2 and struck out 1 over 5.2 innings and earned the win.

Felix Bautista (1.1 IP, 1 H, 1 K) was called upon to get a four out save and he did with the help of a game-ending double play.
