The Scottsdale Scorpions (4-6) ended a five-game losing streak on Thursday with a 14-8 win over the Surprise Saguaros. Baltimore’s Heston Kjerstad played a big role in the win. The Orioles 2020 #1 draft pick went 3 for 6 with a double, a homerun, 1 run scored and 4 RBI. His first inning homerun started the Scottsdale scoring and his ninth inning two-run double ended the scoring.

Reed Trimble went 0 for 2 with a run scored and 3 walks. He was also picked off first base in the second inning.

Nick Richmond allowed 1 hit, walked 1 and struck out 1 on 0.2 innings.

Easton Lucas (1-1) allowed 1 hit and struck out 5 over 2.0 innings and earned the win.
